Miami, FL - We are sad to report that Sean Kingston has died as a result of the severe injuries he sustained this afternoon from his jet ski crash. At first doctors thought his prognosis was looking good, but suddenly he went into cardiac arrest and doctors were not able to resuscitate him.
The family is asking the public and the media to respect their privacy during this extremely difficult time.
Our condolences to the Kingston Family.

Sean Kingston, the 21-year-old Jamaican-American artist, was involved in a jet skiing accident in Miami, Florida late Sunday night after he and a female companion crashed into the bridge connecting Palm Island with the MacArthur Causeway at approximately 6 p.m. Kingston is believed to be in a stable condition and is being treated in the Ryder Trauma Center.
The Internet has been buzzing regarding Kingston’s possible death, but his record label released a statement telling Kingston’s fans that, “No further details are available at this moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well wishes.”
Officials are currently still investigating the cause of the accident, but it is thought that alcohol did not play a part. As of now Kingston has been transferred from the trauma unit to the intensive care unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital — where he is in critical condition, but has been stabilized.
