Fire Razes NNPC's Atlas Cove Depot Pipelines

The pipelines attached to the Atlas Cove Depot of the Pipelines and Petroleum Marketing Company (PPMC) went up in flames late Tuesday night after thieves attacked the lines to steal petroleum products.
We however gathered that the fire did not the affect depot.
Residents of Ilado, a suburb of Lagos, where the pipelines burned for several hours said the fire was caused by thieves who tried to steal petrol from the pipes.
Sources at the petroleum ministry said engineers and emergency personnel have been dispatched to extinguish the fire and also determine the extent of damage.
