Former TV Reporter Charles Leaf Sentenced for Child Sex Assault

A former New York City television reporter has been sentenced to 26 years in prison after being found guilty on several charges including the sexual assault of a 4-year-old girl at his home in New Jersey.
A judge in state Superior Court in Hackensack on Friday handed down the sentence to former Fox 5 reporter Charles Leaf of Wyckoff.
An emotional Leaf maintained his innocence as he spoke for more than 20 minutes during the hearing.
Leaf was arrested in 2010. In February a jury found him guilty on multiple counts including sex assault, child endangerment and possession of child pornography.
On the witness stand, the now 8-year-old girl he was accused of molesting withdrew her accusations.
Leaf's father-in-law testified that he, not Leaf, had viewed porn on Leaf's computer.
