Today Monday 17th March 2014, the HND students of allb the schools in Lagos state Nigeria engaged in a protest, preventing vehicles from going their ways at Anthony-Ikorodu road. The protest started around 11am, some students were carrying banners while some carried placards crying out against the following;
1) Discrimination between HND students and B.SC students.
2) Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics(ASUP) strike should come to an end in order for them to go back to school. The students cried that they have stayed at home for nine months as a result of the strike and as a result, a two years course have turned to a four years course.
3)There should be an upgrade in their facilities.
They pleaded with Lagos stat Government to look into these matters.
