Ahead of the already historical for Nigeria World Cup to be
held in Brazil, Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi allowed married players
to travel with their wives but forbade single ones to travel with their
girlfriends.
Keshi stated his position regarding WAGs (Wives and Girlfriends) quite categorically on Tuesday.
He said: "In any civilized country, WAGs are always allowed to accompany their husbands to the World Cup... Married men in the Eagles can go with their wives but there will be no room for girlfriends."
Words of the respected coach stirred the mild protest of many single girls in the audience.
