Veteran Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko was recently involved in a ghastly motor accident which almost claimed his life. Reports have it that he lost control of the car as a result of the brake failure which led to the accident.

The car was said to be completely damaged beyond repair but Jide Kosoko was immediately given emergency medical treatment by 7-up & LASTMA Emergency officials before he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital for further treatment. The accident was said to have occured around Ikeja shopping mall. Efforts to reach the actor has been abortive. But a Yoruba actor, Yomi Fabiyi confirmed the story saying the actor is in stable condition. Jide Kosoko who has remained one of the few actors that have successfully featured in Yoruba and English movies is married to two wives Karimat and Henrietta (popular Yoruba actress) He was born in 1954 in Lagos Island to a royal family and has been acting since he was 10 years old when he joined a theatre group. He attended Yaba College of Technology where he studied Business Administration.
