Yeah, see, they live in a classy place, these Southamptons folks. Or, spend their summers in a classy place. A lot of them come in seasonally from Manhattan Island, where they own enormous duplexes or triplexes up by the park, but when they come out to Long Island, they want the peace and tranquility of knowing that people like them are the only people there. (Forget the townies who work and, y'know, live there; they're blurry window dressing.) So they are mad that these two sisters from the west are coming to take over their town. It's right there in the title! Take over!

What if your summer town was terrorized? Of course, that was the question posed 39 years ago by the film Jaws,
which, in creating the summer blockbuster, simultaneously invented and
ruined the modern movie industry. But it's also the question now posed
to residents of Southampton, the tony vacation town on Long Island.
Because two of the Kardashian clan, sisters Kourtney and Khloé, are
taking their roadshow out there this summer. They have plans to film a
reality series called Kourtney & Khloé Take the Hamptons, and residents are not happy about it.
