In
early hours of Tuesday, two headless bodies were discovered along the
Lagos Street in Benin City, Edo State capital. Two severed heads were
found beside the headless bodies in the Hausa-populated area.
As a result, residents have fled the area; most of the shops in the streets remained closed throughout the day.
The bodies belong to two young men dressed in native attires. The local police removed the bodies without making any arrests.
The Edo State Police Command spokesman said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
