Cinematters: The Parents corner
Parental Advice-its effect on our future.
Yes our parents are our 'gods' on earth according to the Bible and it equally commands us to honor our parents that our days may be long, but do some of our parents actually advise us for our own good or for their own selfish interest?

A woman so much discouraged her first daughter from marrying the man of her choice because the was 'just' a lecturer in Niger Delta University, he had little savings and this was not funny to the girl's mother.
Now the girl had other suitors who were far richer than the girl's choice and from these group, the woman insisted her daughter must make a choice from. This caused a lot of misunderstanding between mother and daughter, but with much interventions from relations, the mother let her be.
Now this girl is married to her choice husband and with Gods help, they are becoming financially comfortable as the days go by, they own a car at the moment and a house.
This once greedy mother is now in the daughter's house enjoying herself.
But what if this girl had listened to the mum back then, what will become of her happiness and future?

Insight to Women!
Women as we all know was created through the act of removing a rib from the side of a man in order to complete the man's life. During creation, God gave man authority over everything but yet man was not happy, but as soon as a woman appeared on the scene, the bible recorded it as the first time the man smiled. This simply means women are designed to bring joy to the heart of a man, but the wrong handling of a woman can bring confusion to the man. It is said that when you treat a woman with care, she will bring you the whole world. For some men who are yet to comprehend the nature of a woman, here is the key to your puzzles.
Every woman wants a man who respects her for her values, virtues and ethics. She wants a man who is proud of her strong character and unique personality. A man who can support her unconditionally and stay connected to her soulfully.
A woman who loves you truly will never ask you to buy her expensive gifts or take her to expensive places. She wont ask for diamonds, rubies or a promise to bring her the whole world of luxuries, she just wants your love, care and attention, she wants you to spend a lot of quality time with her and appreciate her for all that she does for you out of love, care and attention.
Every woman is unique in her own way and she wants to be the center of her man's life. A woman's heart is so full of love for the man of her life that she just gives it freely even for the little he does for her. She doesn't want commitments and promises and she just wants to be loved to the core.
Cinematters: Domestic violence, a death trap for women!
Domestic violence in Nigeria is a problem as in many parts of Africa. There is a deep cultural belief in Nigeria that it is socially acceptable to hit a woman to discipline a spouse. But what level of truth is in this claim were women are endangered.
This is a story i saw and felt i must share to you all;
The Death of Nkechi and Unborn Child. True Story
My dear friends,
I come before you humble, with my head bowed and on bended knees. Today, my heart is heavy and my anguish is unimaginable. Like the biblical Rachael weeping for the death of her children, I have refused to be consoled.
On Monday, I received a call from Nigeria from a friend about Ms Nkechi Ngene[maiden name]. Ms Ngene was 8 months pregnant, an unemployed mother of two minor children, and the wife of a man, that is known to his friends as Chico Chime- a motor cycle spare part dealer In Enugu. Both resides in Enugu GRA, and are from Akwuke Autonomous Community [Nkanu] in Enugu South LGA of Enugu State. On January 25th, 2014, she confronted her husband about his incessant infidelity, and he responded by beating the crap out of her. Ms Ngene sustained various bruises, but worst was that she began to bleed profusely and uncontrollably. The unkindest cut of all was that her husband left her to die.
Abandoned on the cold floor helpless, in the full glare of their children, and life slowly but painfully slipping away from her, with her last breath she called a friend. She was rushed to the nearest hospital, and after two days of spirited medical help, she died as well as her unborn child.
Like most cowards, her husband has since gone into hiding, abandoning their minor children to the mercy of friends and family. The matter was first reported to Ogui Police Station, but referred to New Haven Police, the appropriate police station.
The matter has since been reported to the police and the National Human Rights Commission of Nigeria[NHRCN]-Enugu Office. However, I have been also informed that some so called big shots from Akwuke community and Enugu South LGA Chairman's Office are bringing pressure to bear on the Police and NHRCH -Enugu to drop their investigation!!!, so that the issue [double homicide]will be handle as a “family affair”.

This is a True Story on an event that took place recently in Enugu State
Nigeria. Attorney Ike Melchyesedech Ezekwu,Sr has been in
communication with various victims of domestic violence in Enugu and
other parts of Nigeria. This is just one of the many stories. When I
first heard about it I was personally shocked and disappointed. I have
been hearing too many horror stories about how our Nigerian men
constantly beat their wives and I have seen firsthand how they tried to
continue the culture of wife beating in the USA only to be thwarted by
US laws.
I asked Mr. Ezekwu to provide me with more information so I could blast it out to my mailing list. Why? To bring attention to this horrible crime, to wake people up so they can hopefully intervene next time when they see this happening to their sister, mother, auntie, cousin, niece, it is NOT OK to idly stand by and Do Nothing.
A lot of our Nigerian/African sisters, mothers, aunties, nieces are being battered and beaten by their husbands. There seems to be a deadly code of silence as the battered women have no place to run to, some are denied by their own family, most have no money to be on their own and risk losing their children, others stay with their husbands and on a lot of occasions are murdered by those same husbands.
This is such a story. This is NOT a made up story but true facts and events that recently took place in Enugu Nigeria.

Cinematters:Gender inequality, as poisonous as the bite of a snake
Its a wonder that in some parts of Nigeria till now, some people fight over this. Imagine this story: A woman was abandoned by the husband simply because she had six girls and no boy. Now the girls are all grown into a doctor, two lawyers, engineer, catholic nun and an actress. This once frustrated mother who denied herself every pleasure of life now tours the world to spend time with each of the children.
Now the run away father is back asking for forgiveness.
What will be your judgement to this man if you are the one please?
